The participants of the exhibition "Rest 2015" will know more about the amur tiger

The Amur Tiger Center at the Rest 2015 exhibition will acquaint travelers with the Amur tiger, as well as present their own projects aimed at developing ecological tourism in the Far East.  In particular, on the example of the project Student squad “Tiger”, visitors of the exhibition will be told about the activities of the Center for the improvement of specially protected natural territories.

The 21st international tourism exhibition "Rest" will be held from 15 to 18 September 2015 at the exhibition center Crocus Expo in Moscow. The exhibition is held with support of Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for tourism, Russian Union of travel Industry, Association of tour operators of Russia and Trading-industrial chamber of the Russian Federation.

Amur tiger Center, the exhibition will focus on the promotion of the Russian Far East as a region possessing, with the combination of unique nature and favorable climate, huge potential for eco-tourism. One of the presented projects aimed at the solution of this problem is the student environmental group "Tiger", organized in 2014 by the Amur tiger Centre and the Sikhote-Alinskiy reserve.

For two years, 50 senior students from 6 Russian universities, studying in such areas as hunting, forestry, veterinary medicine, and others participated in the Tiger squad. The result of their work was the improvement of 2 ecological trails of over 10 kilometers in the reserve, also the creation of all the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable stay in a specially protected natural area both for environmental tourists and employees of the reserve.

During the exhibition, the Center will also present projects and programs aimed at preserving the flora and fauna of the Far East, and in particular the Amur tiger, as well as initiatives dedicated to promoting the idea of ​​respect for the environment.
