Amur Tiger Center will help Mir, the tiger cub

During the meeting with Ksenia Sukhinova and Mikhail Zaretsky, who looks after the tiger cub Mir in the last few months, the Amur Tiger Center decided to provide support in obtaining the necessary documents for keeping the animal.

Recall that on September 29, Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova, through social networks, appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to help a tiger cub named Mir.  According to Ksenia, the animal was illegally kept by private individuals, and about 6 months ago it was planted by her friend, trainer Mikhail Zaretsky.  He took care of the tiger cub all this time. Now the age of the predator is about 10-11 months.

The Amur Tiger Center contacted Ksenia and Mikhail, and during the meeting, it was agreed that the Center would facilitate the receipt of all necessary documents by the Mir.  At the moment, the tiger cub feels great, his health is not threatened, say Ksenia and Mikhail.

“The veterinarians have yet to conduct a medical examination of a tiger cub to make sure that he is really completely healthy,” - comments Alexandra Vishnevskaya, the acting director general of the Amur Tiger Center.  - “With regard to the necessary documents, the rules for obtaining them are clearly regulated by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.  We will stick to it.  First of all, the Mir will have to undergo genetic examination to establish its belonging to the species listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation. It will happen soon.”
