Amur tiger Center announces the beginning of reception of works for the contest "Russian far East". The main task of creative competitions is the education of careful attitude to nature, preservation of rare species of animals, including the Amur tiger, as well as promoting the natural and cultural heritage of Russia through photography.
The organizers expect from the participants of the shots made on the territory of the far Eastern Federal district of Russia, namely Primorsky, Kamchatka and Khabarovsk Krai, Amur, Jewish Autonomous, Magadan and Sakhalin regions and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
Works are accepted in three nominations:
- Nature and Animals of the Far East
- Indigenous and small peoples living in the territory of the Far East
- Amur tiger
You can upload photos on the contest page on the website of the Amur Tiger Center. Reception of works ends on November 14. Announcement of the winners and prize-winners of the photo contest will take place on November 25th.
The winners of the contest "Russian far East" will be held in two stages: first, work will be appreciated by visitors of the website, and then the best photos will be chosen by the competent jury. Its membership included the President of the Association of indigenous minorities of the North of Primorsky region, member of the UN working group on business and human rights Pavel Sulyandziga; doctor of biological Sciences, TV presenter Nikolay Drozdov, Deputy Director of the Institute of geography RAS, broadcaster Alexander Belyaev, photographer, ethnographer and documentary filmmaker Leonid Kruglov; Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua in the Russian Federation, Juan Ernesto Vasquez, Arria, TV presenter, model, actress and singer Oksana Fedorova, photographer and traveler Ilya Melnikov, and the Director of the Primorsky branch of the Center "Amur tiger" Sergei Aramilev.
The authors of the best entries in both categories will receive prizes in the amount of 30 thousand rubles. Photographers, who took 2nd and 3rd places, 15 and 10 thousand rubles respectively. Maximum reward of 70 thousand rubles awaits the participant who sent the most interesting the Amur tiger.
