The Amur Tiger Center announces the "Nature and animals of Russia" photo contest

The submission of works for the photographic contest "Nature and animals of Russia" organized by the Amur Tiger Center with the support of the Russian Geographical Society starts on the 5th of June.

The contest organizers expect participants to send photos taken in Russia: sceneries, unusual pictures of flora and fauna, as well as the exciting moments of the life of wild animals, including such rare species as the Amur tiger.

The organizing committee of the contest notes that the main task of this creative competition is the promotion of respect for nature and the preservation of rare species of animals.

Works can be submitted on the website of the Contest in two categories: «Beauty of Russia» and «Wild beasts». Photos of the Amur tiger will be highlighted in a separate nomination.

The winners of the "Nature and animals of Russia" photo contest will be determined in two stages: first the works will be rated by the visitors of the website then the best photos will be chosen by the authoritative jury, including well-known Russian traveler and blogger Sergey Dolya. The winners will be announced on July 29, the International Tiger Day.

Authors of the best works in both categories will receive prizes in the amount of 40 thousand rubles. Photographers, who took 2nd and 3rd places will receive 20 thousand rubles and 5 respectively. The maximum 70 thousand rubles prize will wait for the author of the most interesting Amur tiger picture.
