"Tiger" became part of the Nationwide Movement of Student Groups

In Primorye, the students group "Tiger" leading the improvement of the ecological path "Lake Blagodatnoe" in Sikhote-Alin Nature reserve, in a solemn atmosphere awarded bouzouki and membership cards of the Youth Russian public organization Russian Student Teams (RSO).

Now this unique experience that occurred in Primorye, thanks to the cooperation of ANO Amur tiger Center and the Sikhote-Alin nature reserve has become a part of this RSO.

“There are not so many organizations in our country that unite young people.  Nevertheless, the movement of construction teams, which were actively developed during the USSR, managed to survive a difficult period of time and to this day continues to remain the leading organization in the matter of uniting and supporting young people.  We are pleased that our student squad “Tiger”, which for the first time in the history of the movement works for the benefit of nature conservation, joined the friendly family of construction squadrons who work at space centers, help Russian railways, work on Putin and are involved in many other areas. Now we are one big family and I am confident that our students will continue to take an active part in the life of the construction teams of Russia”. – Sergey Aramilev, Director of the Primorsky Branch of the Amur Tiger Center.

Roman Gritchenko, head of the Primorsky regional branch of the Russian Student Teams, came to the reserve to accept the "Tigers" in the ranks of student groups in Russia.

“Today in Primorye, more than 1,000 fighters work in 29 student construction brigades.  And it is very important that here, in the reserve, you take part in such an important social and environmental project.  This year, the Tiger squad brought together students from different parts of Russia for the first time, which makes it possible to enrich each of you with new experience, new impressions and increase professional skills.  The fight you get now is the main attribute of our movement.  Be proud of her and be an example for other students of our country”. - Roman Gritchenko.

"Under the lucky star of Primorye

on the border of the beloved country

walking in the forest in bright T-shirts

detachment "Tiger" - builder trails.

We were taught to stand shoulder to shoulder

mutual assistance and a friend's elbow feeling.

Detachment "Tiger" obstacles on the shoulder,

we always stand as a mountain for each other"

The students marched to the memorial stone, laid down last year by the first fighters of the student group “Tiger” in a solemn march, under the marching song written the day before at the evening fire  It was here, at the beginning of the eco-trail “Cape Severny”, built by their predecessors, a common photo was taken.

“In the first half of 2015, the reserve together with the Amur Tiger Center designed an unusual machine called the Tiger Student Group - 2015 model.  The power of this unique machine is 25 student forces, and just a couple of weeks ago we launched it to work.  This machine is multifunctional, however, requires a certain refueling and management skills, but, thanks to last year’s experience, we now have them. With such power, strength and enthusiasm that this “machine” has, we can in a good sense move mountains, because the guys help the reserve to do the work that their employees hardly ever reached. Our trails hovering above the ground and some information infrastructure facilities are what we want to get after the construction team’s work” – Dmitry Gorshkov, Director of the Sikhote-Alin Reserve.

For the third week of work in the reserve, "tigers" made 150 meters of fencing around the perimeter of the future parking for tourists - logs were dug in and stone was laid.  The pavement of the drainage ditch was also made here.  This required 12 KAMAZ trucks with stone, which was manually laid by the guys.  The construction of the infrastructure of the Blagodatnoye cordon continues.

Boils work directly and on the ecological path "Lake Blagodatnoe".  Brigadier Anna Gritsuk, a specialist from the “Big Baikal Trail” Interregional Organization, explained that the corridor of the path was cleared from trees felled after the typhoon, the trail was laid out and prepared on the meadow and about 100 meters of larch flooring were laid.

The work of the student environmental unit "Tiger" is aimed at drawing attention to the problem of preserving wildlife in general and the Amur tiger in particular, developing the volunteer movement and ecotourism in the Far East, supporting the creation of infrastructure in national parks and reserves, and  work in protected areas of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.

The project is carried out with the financial support of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and the JSC TENEX
