The autonomous non-commercial organization "Amur Tiger Center" and the Federal State Public Institution of Higher Professional Education "Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation" concluded a cooperation agreement. The document became a logical continuation of the interaction between the Center and the Academy, working together for more than a year.
Earlier, with the support of the Center by the Academy of the General Prosecutor's Office, a scientific study was conducted of the state of legality in the field of protection of rare and endangered species of animals. In the framework of this study, the meeting of representatives of the Academy with employees of the prosecutor’s office of Primorsky Krai A “round table” was held with the participation of representatives of control bodies in the field of protection of wildlife in Primorsky Krai, directors of reserves, representatives of the Vladivostok branch of the Far Eastern Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, and the Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia; There were trips to the Department for the Protection, Control and Regulation of the Use of Fauna Objects in the Primorsky Krai. Representatives of the Center took an active part in all the listed events.
The signed agreement expands cooperation between organizations. Thus, the document provides for the implementation of joint research and projects, as well as the preparation of joint proposals on environmental issues, including rare and endangered species of animals.
The general director of the Amur Tiger Center, Andrei Smirnov, commented on the signing.
“The signing of an agreement with the Academy of the General Prosecutor's Office allows us to take the cooperation of our organizations to a new level. We set ourselves the task of joint efforts to develop proposals for the implementation of legal projects involving the protection of rare and endangered species of animals, and especially the main ward of the Center - the Amur tiger. We are confident that by combining our efforts, we will be able to work purposefully and as efficiently as possible.”
Within the framework of interaction principles recorded on paper, it is planned to conduct research projects, organize and conduct Russian and international symposia, conferences, seminars, meetings, exhibitions, competitions and other events.
