The agreement on cooperation between the Amur Tiger Center and the Administration of Vladivostok has been signed

Vladivostok held a working meeting of the Russian President's Assistant – the Head of the Presidential Control Directorate Konstantin Chuichenko and Vladivostok Mayor Igor Pushkarev.

As a result the agreement on cooperation between the Amur Tiger Center and the administration of the city of Vladivostok was signed. It was signed by the head of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev and the Director of the Primorsky branch of the Center Sergei Aramilev.

Signatories noted the importance of cooperation, aimed at developing joint proposals on the study and conservation of the Amur tiger.

The agreement provides further cooperation on matters of the dissemination of measures aimed at the preservation of the Amur tiger and all the unique animal world of Primorsky Krai. It is planned to conduct activities which raise environmental awareness: thematic conferences, seminars, exhibitions, symposiums and other events.

The Amur Tiger Center will participate in the organization of Tiger Day in Vladivostok in September. According to organizers it is going to be a real Far Eastern environmental themed carnival with no analogues in the world.

"It is gratifying that there is such a holiday as the Day of the Tiger in Vladivostok. In fact it is the only carnival procession in Russia. Efforts being made by the Vladivostok mayor's office to ensure that it goes off at a proper level are obvious.  We are very pleased to be able to take part in the organization and we hope that the feast will gain momentum and become brighter and more colorful from year to year", - says Sergey Aramilev.
