In Primorsky Krai the ANO «The Amur Tiger Centre» has initiated the children's art contest called We love the Amur tiger. The main objective of the contest is to provide a sense of responsibility for the preservation of threatened species to the younger generation, as well as to encourage children to learn more about the problems of the Amur tiger preservation.
The best drawings will be presented to a wide audience at the Center’s stand at the exhibition held in Crocus-Expo (December 2-4, 2013) in the framework of the IV All-Russian Congress on Environmental Protection.
«There are quite a few various contests of children's drawings, including the ones dedicated to the Amur leopard conservation. But as practice shows, the more contests, the better, - says Director General of he ANO «The Amur Tiger Centre» Yuri Danilov.- Although the results of the competition are not yet announced, the works that we have already received show how children’s creativity can change the attitude towards wildlife protection. This year, our competition is held in conjunction with the Administration of Primorsky Krai, but next year it will expand its geography around the whole habitat of the Amur tiger».
The jury will select winners in three age categories and the winners will receive valuable prizes. The results will be announced later.
