Four residents of Primorsky Krai can be punished for an attempt of selling an amur tiger pelt

The Dalnerechensk interdistrict prosecutor has approved the indictment on criminal case against four locals which are accused of commission of crime, provided by the p. 3 of Art. 30, p.1 Art. 258.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to prosecutor's office of Primorsky Krai, one of defendants in the case under unspecified circumstances has illegally got a skin of a tiger and stored her in a garage. For realization of the intention selling a skin of a rare predator it has entered into a collision with three locals. In August, 2015 participants of group conducted negotiations with the potential buyer who acted according to the Federal law "About Operational Search Activity". Malefactors have agreed to meet him for the purpose of demonstration of "goods" and discussion of final conditions of acquisition, however alleged offenders couldn't finish the criminal intention as have been detained by the staff of UFSB of Russia in Primorsky Krai.

It is possible that activity of these citizens could become the reason of it, but it demands additional proofs" - the director of the Far East Amur Tiger Center Department Sergey Aramilev comments.

Now criminal case under the article "attempt at illegal storage, transportation and sales of a part of especially valuable wild animals belonging to the types included in the Red List of the Russian Federation" is directed to court for consideration on the merits.
