Another 50 inspectors in the area of the Amur tiger received a uniform in color, cut and special stripes. Special clothing designed and purchased for the hunting supervision services of the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krai by the Amur Tiger Center.
50 sets of winter and demi-season clothing were handed over to inspectors of the hunting supervision services of the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krai.
The sets are multi-layered clothing: wearable underwear, fleece underwear, a demi-season suit consisting of a jacket and trousers, and a winter set - semi-overalls and a jacket. All - a unique "olive" color.
The elements of the form are equipped with special marks of distinction of the state inspection service, and there are places for placing a token and a DVR. The warmed sets are calculated for work in the conditions of severe winter. The form was made by a Russian company in St. Petersburg.
The form is intended for inspectors of the Department of Hunting Supervision of the Primorsky Krai, the operational groups of the KGBU “Directorate for the Protection of Wildlife Objects and Protected Areas” of the Primorsky Krai, as well as similar services in the Khabarovsk Krai - the Committee for Hunting and the State Wildlife Service and PAO.
“The main advantage of the form is that it is not only impossible to buy it anywhere, but also to find it similar in cut and color. Thus, it is possible with a high degree of probability to ensure that if a hunter in the forest met a person in this form, then before him is the legal representative of the authorities. It must be said that the introduction of a single uniform is an important step in creating an effective service for the protection of objects of the animal world, and we will continue to work in this direction. We hope that our experience will serve as an example for other regions of Russia, and in the future this form will become common for the whole country, of course, with the specific climatic conditions of the regions,” says Sergey Aramilev, director of the Primorsky branch of the Amur Tiger Center.
Similar form kits were first purchased in 2014 for 28 inspectors of the hunting supervision service. Up to this point, they did not have a single uniform. At the same time, in 2015, the uniform was modified taking into account the operating experience last year, but in general, outwardly - clothing sets retain the same style.
Thus, in the area of the Amur tiger, 78 inspectors work in a special form, which provides not only comfortable working conditions, but also creates an image of a single independent service with powers.
“The new form is the prestige of the service. After all, there are no approved form standards specifically for state-funded supervision, and everyone went to what was ready - for the most part it was a simple “camouflage”. Now that there will be uniformity, this is a completely different attitude to inspectors on the part of hunters and poachers. Now they will immediately see that this is a representative of the authorities, who has the right to ask documents by post, draw up a protocol,” comments Alexey Surovy, deputy director of the hunting supervision department of Primorsky Krai.
Since 2014, the Amur Tiger Center has been working to create an effective wildlife protection service in the area of the Amur tiger in order to reduce poaching. One of the first steps in achieving the goal is technical re-equipment of the service. Already purchased and transferred: specialized transport (cars, ATVs, snowmobiles), satellite phones and other equipment necessary for the work of inspectors. In addition, a program has been developed and implemented for awarding inspectors who receive a salary allowance for efficient work.
